Steam bath energy consumption<\/h1>\n

What is the power consumption of a steam bath?<\/h2>\n

This varies depending on the cabin size. For small steam showers (100x100cm) the energy consumption is about 1250W applied by the heating mats. In addition, the steam generator here requires 3000W.<\/p>\n

For larger steam baths, calculate 300W per square meter of electrical heating surface. The steam generator then mostly has a power of 7.5 kW (our standard device! )<\/p>\n

How long does the booth need to be ready for operation?<\/h2>\n

Due to our powerful heating (approx. 300W\/m2 !) the cabin needs a preheating time of about 20 minutes. This depends on the selected tiles (thickness, glass mosaic,..).<\/p>\n\n\t

The biggest “power guzzlers” in a steam bath are of course the steam generator, which in larger steam baths can quickly reach 6kW and more, and also the electric heating mats that are installed in the walls and seats\/beds. 10-11kW can already occur as a momentary starting load. Once the steam bath is heated then a “differential heating” takes place – The heating mats eg. switch ON again and again briefly and then OFF again when the temperature is reached.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n
